Badgers men's tennis: Doubles teams eliminated at Big Ten tournament

IOWA CITY, Iowa — The University of Wisconsin will conclude its fall season this weekend at the Big Ten Men's Indoor Tennis tournament. While singles action will begin Saturday, the Badgers completed doubles competition Friday afternoon.

Sophomore Lamar Remy and junior John Zordani teamed up to take down Pengxuan Jiang and Asher Hirsch of Illinois, winning 6-1. However, the duo was bested by the number one doubles seed in the bracket, Nebraska's Dusty and Tobey Boyer, falling, 7-6, 9-7.

Junior Elliott Sprecher and sophomore Jose Carranza also competed for UW, but lost 6-3 in the first round to Nils Hallestrand and Jonas Larsen of host Iowa.
