The Wisconsin Badgers defeated the Chicago State Cougars 80-53 on Friday evening, improving to 8-3 on the year and ending their non-conference slate on a high note.
However, it wasn’t all great news, as guard Chucky Hepburn suffered a lower-body injury early in the second half and was ruled out shortly after, raising cause for concern.
Following the game, head coach Greg Gard provided an update, which seemed encouraging for the guard’s prospects to return sooner than later.
“He was walking around in the locker room a little bit,” Gard said about Hepburn following the game, via 247Sports’s Nick Osen.
