Near the end of their spring ball program, the Wisconsin Badgers had the chance to host 2026 defensive lineman Gavin Walden on a visit, which exceeded his expectations.
“The visit was great, it exceeded my expectations,” Walden shared with Bucky’s 5th Quarter. “Loved the facilities and the coaching staff was great and I really enjoyed the practice’s intensity and speed. It was great talking to Coach Whit (DL coach E.J. Whitlow) and can’t wait to get back down. You can tell they’re building something special these next few years.”
Walden got to speak 1-on-1 with Whitlow, who pointed out his good film and noted the desire to get the 2026 recruit out to a camp to get a hands-on experience and see how the defensive lineman moves.
