Primarily playing various linebacker roles, and tight end for his high school team, Turner brings strength and athleticism to the field. While many of the teams recruiting him wanted him at outside linebacker because of his speed and burst into the backfield, he is projected to come into Wisconsin as an inside linebacker.
On film Turner demonstrates a strong ability to come downhill in pursuit and he is a sound tackler. He does a nice job of recognizing situations with his solid football intellect, which allows for him to react in a hurry. A very quick and athletic linebacker, Turner should be a player that not only sees time fairly early in the linebacker rotation, but could be a weapon in special teams given his skill set.
