On Monday morning, Cincinnati (Roger Bacon) defensive end recruit James Thompson Jr. announced that he verbally committed to the Wisconsin Badgers by telling Badger247 writer Evan Flood.
Rated a three-star prospect by 247Sports and Rivals, the 6-foot-5.5-inch Thompson Jr. has significantly bulked up since his junior season at Roger Beacon high school. The defensive end was listed at 230 pounds just one season ago, but now he is up to 255 pounds.
The DE’s offer sheet includes Iowa State and Navy, and he also garnered interest from Michigan State, Northwestern, Purdue, and Indiana.
