With the official 2019 National Signing Day coming up on Feb. 6, the Wisconsin Badgers received another verbal commit. Sun Prairie, Wis., wide receiver Cooper Nelson announced his decision on Thursday night to play at UW.
Both Rivals/BadgerBlitz.com’s Jon McNamara and WisSports.net’s Travis Wilson reported that Nelson accepted a walk-on opportunity with Wisconsin.
According to WisSports.net, Nelson caught 60 passes for 1,027 yards and 13 touchdowns in 2018. With that productive season, the Wisconsin Football Coaches Association named him as a large school all-state wide out.
