Wisconsin head coach Bret Bielema is leaving the Badgers to take over at Arkansas. Let's get past it. Who will replace him?

Here is our very early top ten:

10. Charlie Strong - head coach, Louisville

9. Bud Foster - Defensive Coordinator, Virginia Tech

8. Kyle Flood - Head Coach, Rutgers

7. Butch Jones - Head Coach Cincinnati

6. Darrell Hazell - Head Coach, Kent State

5.  Pep Hamilton - Offensive Coordinator, Stanford

4.  Matt Campbell - Head Coach, Toledo

The most likely candidates...

3. Dave Doeren - Head Coach, NC State

Doeren was defensive coordinator under Bielema for 5 seasons (2006-10) and left after 2010 season to take over Northern Illinois. He led NIU to back to back MAC Championships and a BCS Bowl this season. He accepted the NC State job on December 1st. It would be frowned upon, but don't be surprised if Dave returns to Wisconsin... his NC State contract hasn't been signed yet.

2. Paul Chryst - Head Coach, Pitt

The former Wisconsin OC left less than a year ago and took several assistants with him to Pitt. If our #1 doesn't take the job, expect the Badgers to go hard after Chryst.

1. Barry Alvarez - Wisconsin AD

The burn to lead a football team hasn't gone away for Barry. Early rumors are that he may take the job to stabilize the program for 3-4 years while grooming a replacement.
