The Winnipeg Jets blew a one goal lead in the third period last night, thwarting their efforts to steal the opening game from the Ducks in Anaheim. Leading 2-1 going into the final period, Corey Perry netted two goals to take the lead and the Ducks never looked back, winning 4-2.
Coming out of the gates, the Jets looked a little shell-shocked and had a lack of readiness for playoff hockey. The Ducks scored early in the game off a shot from Sami Vatanen, but the resilient Jets answered 49 seconds later with an Adam Lowry goal.
