Winnipeg back-up goalie Laurent Brossoit stole the show Tuesday night at Bell MTS Place.
A surprise starter against a red-hot Vegas squad, Brossoit was simply superb, blocking 43 shots to backstop the Jets to a 4-1 triumph over the visiting Golden Knights.
His best work came in the middle frame as the visitors outshot Winnipeg 25-7, however, the Jets grabbed a 2-0 lead on breakaway goals by forwards Kyle Connor and Mathieu Perreault.
The Jets upped their Central Division leading-record to 30-14-2. Vegas, winners of eight of its last 10 prior to visiting Winnipeg, is 28-17-4 and remains third in the Pacific Division.
