LAS VEGAS – The Vegas Golden Knights appear to be playing on a racetrack these days, while the Winnipeg Jets seem to be stuck at times rolling through a school zone.
Speed was definitely the difference Wednesday night, as the surprising expansion team from Sin City wheeled and dealed their way to a 4-2 victory that puts them in the driver's seat of the Western Conference final.
Vegas now leads the best-of-seven series 2-1.
Winnipeg got out to a fast start by taking the opener at home last Saturday, but they've mostly slowed to a crawl since, unable to generate much against a team that is routinely making them eat their dust.
