The NHL's Winnipeg Jets agreed to terms on a new two-year contract with restricted free-agent defenceman Jacob Trouba today.
The 22-year-old from Rochester, Mich., did not report to the Jets following his participation at the World Cup of Hockey, citing his desire to be traded to an NHL team willing to permit him to play on the right side. The Jets had planned to use the right-handed blue-liner on the left side.

The two-year deal includes base salaries of US$2.5 million this season and US$3.
