Florida is atop the Atlantic Division, but is just 4-4-2 in their last 10 and coming off a 3-1 loss to the Minnesota Wild in St. Paul on Sunday. The Panthers are in the midst of a five-game road trip that started with a shootout loss to Columbus, followed by the stop in Minny and then games against the Jets, Avalanche and Coyotes.
The Panthers were forced to dress seven defencemen in the loss to the Wild after making deals to acquire Jiri Hudler, Teddy Purcell and Jakub Kindl. All three of those players are expected to be in the lineup and make their Florida debuts against the Jets.
