The Islanders come to Winnipeg off a 3-2 win in Vancouver Tuesday night. The Isles never trailed but needed Thomas Hickey’s late third-period goal to dispatch the Canucks. The Islanders, playing for the sixth straight time away from home, got March off on a winning note. The team hasn’t had a losing month this season, with January as its worst at 4-4-1. The team’s official road trip is seven games, but its first game was in New Jersey and its final away contest is at the Rangers on Sunday, again proving road trips are not quite the same for most Eastern Conference teams.
