ABOUT THE BLACKHAWKS
-- Chicago head coach Joel Quenneville has been experimenting with various left-wingers to play on his top line with C Jonathan Toews and RW Patrick Kane. Ryan Hartman started Sunday’s 3-2 win over the Montreal Canadiens in that slot but rookie Vinnie Hinostroza finished on the top unit. "I liked him," Quenneville told the Chicago Tribune. "Vinnie gave us some speed and energy on that line. We’ve tried just about everybody in that spot. I thought he took advantage of it."
-- Patrick Kane leads the Hawks with 18 points in 16 games, including six goals.
