The St. Johns IceCaps are on the move.
The Winnipeg Jets have announced that their new AHL affiliate will reside locally in Manitoba, and will go by the historically famed name, the Manitoba Moose. “We threw around a bunch of names like we did with the Jets’ name” True North Sports boss Mark Chipman said at a news conference on Monday, “But we kept coming back to it. That’s 15 years of history, which for us is a long time…and we’re very proud of that name.
