You could say that the people of Winnipeg are due for a Stanley Cup celebration.
In fact, you could say that they are overdue.
To Winnipeggers, enduring Toronto’s 1967 Stanley Cup drought that Torontonians love to lament over ad infinitum in comparison to their own Cup wait, is much like living through a Toronto winter compared to a frosty Winnipeg one.
