The Sabres, one of the least-travelled teams in the league this season, started a three-game trip outside their time zone on Friday night in Chicago. Eight of the team's next 11 were on the road. Sunday's game here is the first of two this season between Buffalo and Winnipeg; the other coming March 26 in Buffalo.
The game will mark the return of forward Evander Kane and defenceman Zach Bogosian in the first game against their former teammates. Kane has been quiet of late, goalless and pointless in the last five games prior to the game in Chicago.
