CHICAGO -- Heading into Friday’s game against the Chicago Blackhawks, rookie goalie Connor Hellebuyck had passed every test the Winnipeg Jets put in front of him. Minnesota, Toronto, Washington, and, most recently, Columbus Thursday night, were unable to beat the 22-year-old, who went a perfect 4-0-0 to start his NHL career.
But Friday was a whole different beast altogether - to play back-to-back games on back-to-back nights - and one that Hellebuyck would be unable to conquer as the defending Stanley Cup champion Blackhawks rolled to a 2-0 win in front of 22,021 at the Mad House on Madison St.
