Centre Mark Scheifele appeared at practice for the Winnipeg Jets today, another good sign as the team readied to board its plane for a five-game road trip that starts Thursday in Glendale, Ariz.
Scheifele was wearing an orange, no-contact jersey for the 25-minute skate today at the MTS Centre but it’s the next step in his recovery after suffering a concussion at last Saturday’s practice.
The 22-year-old is on the injured-reserve list until at least this weekend and is progressing through the return-to-play protocol which has the player do a little more every day on the condition that he’s symptom-free at each milepost.
