Kyle Okposo and and Brian Gionta scored goals 1:58 apart to power the Buffalo Sabres into a 2-0 lead over the Winnipeg Jets in NHL action at the MTS Centre Sunday afternoon.
The Sabres had a 9-8 edge in shots after 20 minutes.
Defenceman Tyler Myers (lower body injury) was a surprise scratch for the Jets. Blue-liner Paul Postma took his place in the lineup.
