It's no secret that the Boston Bruins need help on defense, but just how they plan to find help remains a mystery. Weekend rumors might provide some clarification on Boston's plans, however, as Fluto Shinzawa of The Boston Globe and SportsNet NHL Insider Elliotte Friedman reported the Bruins are actively seeking a defenseman.
Shinzawa discussed possibly using goaltending prospect Malcolm Subban in a trade for Winnipeg Jets blue-liner Dustin Byfuglien.
"The Bruins need help on defense with Dennis Seidenberg out for two months following back surgery," Shinzawa wrote.
