PITTSBURGH -- It just stands to reason that some day in the future, the Winnipeg Jets are going to defeat the Pittsburgh Penguins here at Consol Energy Center.
But it won’t be for at least another year.
The 2.0 version of the Jets franchise has never won in Pittsburgh and they ran that perfectly awful streak to five straight seasons with a 4-1 loss here Saturday afternoon to the Penguins.
The problems in Pittsburgh run deep in the Jets/Thrashers franchise, which has now lost 15 consecutive games in Pittsburgh, a run now being measured in decades that goes all the way back to December 2006.
