PENTICTON, B.C. – Highly touted right-winger Kyle Connor scored his first goal of the Young Stars Classic NHL rookie tournament Monday to give the Winnipeg Jets an early 1-0 lead.

Jaedon Descheneau of the Oilers scored late in the period to tie the game 1-1.

Winnipeg goalie Mikhail Berdin stopped nine shots while his Edmonton counterpart Keven Bouchard made five saves.
