Maurice counts the way Jets miss Little

Winnipeg Jets Bryan Little is out indefinitely after an injury during the team's home opener Thursday.

Adjusting to life without Bryan Little is going to be a process for the Winnipeg Jets.

The veteran centre was sorely missed in Saturday night’s 4-3 defeat at the hands of the Minnesota Wild—both offensively and defensively—as outlined by Winnipeg head coach Paul Maurice on Sunday morning.

As an example, Maurice singled out a specific series of play in Saturday night’s game. With two of his centres unavailable at the time—Adam Lowry was in the sin bin for cross checking and Mark Scheifele was tending to some slashed laces to his skate on the bench, it was up Alexander Burmistrov to win a crucial faceoff on his weak side in the defensive zone.
