Laine's 13th goal of season proves the winner for Jets

The Winnipeg Jets defeated the New Jersey Devils 3-2 on Tuesday night at MTS Centre.

Patrik Laine scored the game winner at 4:47 of the third period, his 13th of the season and first in his last seven games. Mark Scheifele notched his 13th to open the scoring in the second period.

Blake Wheeler also scored for the Jets, who have won two straight after losing their previous five and now sit 11-12-2 on the year.

Miles Wood scored his first NHL goal for the Devils at 2:53 of the third period, a goal which also ended Connor Hellebuyck's shutout streak at home at 174:56, which is a new franchise record.
