Patrik Laine continued his sizzling pace by scoring his team-leading 32nd and 33rd goals to power the Winnipeg Jets to a 4-3 triumph over the Detroit Red Wings in NHL action before 15,321 fans at Bell MTS Place Friday night.

The 19-year-old sophomore, Winnipeg's second-overall choice in the 2016 NHL Draft, now has eight goals and 13 points in his last seven games. He is only three shy of equalling his 36-goal total in 73 games during his rookie season. The Jets, who are second in the Central Division with a 38-17-9 record, hit the road for six game beginning Sunday night in Carolina against the Hurricanes.
