DALLAS — A late rally by the Winnipeg Jets fell short here Saturday night.
A pair of early third-period goals closed the gap but the Jets were forced to swallow a 4-2 defeat to the Dallas Stars in a battle of Central Division foes.
Winnipeg (32-14-2) had a four-game winning streak snapped, while Dallas (24-21-4) put a stop to a four-game losing streak in front of more than 18,500 spectators at American Airlines Center.
Jets goalie Connor Hellebuyck had a solid night, turning aside 35 shots.
