Jets wrap 2018 with 4-3 win over Oilers

The Winnipeg Jets wrapped up a sensational 2018 calendar year in style Monday night.

An unlikely hero emerged for the Jets as fourth-line winger Brendan Lemieux scored the game winner with his second goal of the game to lift the visitors to a 4-3 victory over the Edmonton Oilers at Rogers Place.

Two players inserted into the lineup by head coach Paul Maurice combined their efforts on the decisive goal. Blue-liner Joe Morrow's point shot was tipped by Lemieux past Edmonton goalie Mikko Koskinen with 5:58 left in the third period.

Lemieux was a healthy scratch the past two contests for Winnipeg, while Morrow hasn't played since Nov.
