EDMONTON — The Winnipeg Jets are in a battle tonight in Edmonton without their most intimidating commando.
Veteran defenceman Dustin Byfuglien was a late scratch for the Winnipeg Jets and was replaced in the lineup by rookie Tucker Poolman, who is making his NHL debut.
Byfuglien suffered an undisclosed injury in Saturday's game in Calgary and didn't practise Monday or participate in today's morning skate.
The 32-year-old product of Roseau, Minn., has been a workhorse for the Jets, missing just 20 games over the last four seasons.
