The Winnipeg Jets have signed goaltender Michael Hutchinson to a new two-year contract.
The 26-year-old native of Barrie, Ont., has been given a two-year deal worth an average annual salary of $1.150 million per season.
Drafted in the third round (77th overall) of the 2008 NHL Entry Draft by the Boston Bruins, Hutchinson appeared in 30 games for the Jets last season. He recorded a 9-15-3 record with a 2.84 goals against average and a .907 save percentage.
