Let the horses go.
This, more than ever, is the direction the Winnipeg Jets are headed.
Friday’s game at the MTS Centre, a 4-3 overtime loss to the Tampa Bay Lightning, was just the latest example of how the Jets are trying to grow their game.
With a lineup that has added some speed and skill in young players (Nikolaj Ehlers, Nic Petan, Andrew Copp and even Alex Burmistrov), the Jets are emphasizing pushing the pace and getting after the puck.
It worked for a large portion of Friday’s game against the Lightning, a whizzing evening of pressure and chances that probably even made obsessive texters look up once or twice.
