Jets outscore Avalanche to bury visitors 7-4

The Winnipeg Jets hit for the hockey cycle Tuesday night, getting goals from all four lines and in nearly every conceivable situation to down the Colorado Avalanche 7-4 at Bell MTS Place.

Trading chances with the high-scoring Avalanche is not typically part of a team's game plan, but the Jets relied on their depth and some effective special teams to win their second straight game over a divisional rival trying to chase them down.

Winnipeg improves to 27-13-2 on the year and moves back into first place in the Central Division, one point ahead of Nashville. Colorado drops to 20-15-8.
