Down 3-0 to start the third, Winnipeg battles back, wins in shootout
NEW YORK — The Winnipeg Jets orchestrated a third-period comeback of their own Sunday night.
The Jets emerged from the dressing room down by three goals to the New York Rangers but evened the score through the final 20 minutes, setting the stage for Mark Scheifele's shootout goal and a 4-3 victory.
Winnipeg outshot the hosts 42-19. The Jets had seven shots in overtime but goalie Henrik Lundvqist was incredible.
