Jets feel the heat in loss to Devils

It’s true that there is lots of hockey left in the Winnipeg Jets season and they are one mammoth run — think Ottawa Senators, this time last year — from getting back into the National Hockey League playoff discussion.

But peel off the rose-coloured glasses and set down those blue and white pom-poms and this much is becoming crystal clear every time the Jets step on the ice these days:

The biggest dates on their 2016 calendar might be the NHL Draft Lottery — usually held in late April — and then June 24th in Buffalo and the first round of the NHL Draft.
