SUNRISE, Fla. – The Florida Panthers survived a couple of late shorthanded situations and earned a 6-4 victory over the Winnipeg Jets on Thursday night.
The Jets are now 0-2 on their current three-game road trip, which wraps up Saturday night in Tampa Bay.
Winnipeg fell to 17-8-4, while Florida raised its record to 11-13-4.
Florida's Michael Haley redirected a shot from Derek MacKenzie past Jets goalie Eric Comrie at 9:58 of the third period to snap a 4-4 tie.
