Mark Scheifele's shootout goal lifted to the Winnipeg Jets to a 5-4 victory over the visiting Nashville Predators and helped his team clinch its first spot in the NHL playoffs since 2015.

The Jets centre scored the only goal of the shootout on Nashville netminder Juuse Saros, while goalie Connor Hellebuyck made all three stops in the shootout. He was terrific in the third period, stopping 13 shots, and was aided a post in five-minute overtime session, finishing with 32 saves.
