The Winnipeg Jets announced this morning that they have called up goaltender Connor Hellebuyck from the AHL’s Manitoba Moose.
The Hellebuyck call-up comes the morning after Jets goaltender Ondrej Pavelec was injured in a collision with Shane Doan of the Arizona Coyotes. Pavelec did not finish the game -- which the Jets won 3-2 -- and there was a report on social media late Saturday that Pavelec was seen leaving MTS Centre on crutches.
An update on Pavelec’s condition is expected from Jets head coach Paul Maurice later today.
