DENVER — The Winnipeg Jets brought a healthy dose of cranky into the heart of Mile High City Saturday night.
Actually, it was there in Paul Maurice’s meeting with the media before the game, was evident early with a fight less than three minutes after the opening puck drop and was a part of every post-whistle scrum.
And, frankly, that bad mood mantra has been sorely missing of late with this bunch.
Still stinging from falling behind 4-zip in the first period of Friday’s 5-3 loss to Carolina, the Jets brought a whole lot more passion to their effort in Denver in a 4-2 win over the Colorado Avalanche at Pepsi Center that snapped a two-game losing skid.
