Jets blow 4-1 lead, fall to Oilers 5-4 in OT

Edmonton defenceman Darnell Nurse walked in and scored the overtime winner as the Oilers stormed back to defeat the Winnipeg Jets 5-4 Tuesday night at Bell MTS Place.

Nurse made a nifty move around Jets winger Nikolaj Ehlers, skated in and beat goalie Connor Hellebuyck just 1:25 into the five-minute extra session.

Winnipeg led 4-1 after two periods but the Oilers tied it, thanks in whole to captain Connor McDavid. After scoring in the first period, McDavid scored once and set up two others in the final frame.

With four goals and five helpers, McDavid has a point on every Oilers goal scored so far in the 2018-19 regular season, except the Nurse game-winner.
