Jets and Wild tied 1-1 after first period

ST. PAUL -- Every hockey fan knows how tough it is to play as an opponent at the Bell Centre in Montreal, the United Centre in Chicago and Madison Square Garden in New York.

But this season the Minnesota Wild have quietly added Xcel Energy Center -- where the Wild will host the Winnipeg Jets Tuesday night -- to the list of places opposing teams hate to play.

The Wild are 6-1-0 at home so far this season, giving them the fourth best home record in the NHL behind only Montreal (7-0-1), Chicago (7-1-1) and the Rangers (6-1-1).
