The Winnipeg Jets have been in survival mode for a while now — and will remain there until some injured parties get back in the lineup.

Valued members of that cavalry are returning — Toby Enstrom will play Thursday night against the New Jersey Devils — and others are close; it can’t be soon enough. Of course, the seriousness of Mark Scheifele’s upper-body troubles will factor here, but the team needs to make some improvements if it's going to make a decent run in the playoffs.
