NASHVILLE – Winnipeg goalie Connor Hellebuyck stopped 37 shots and Brendan Lemieux scored a pair of goals in a solid 5-1 victory over the Nashville Predators here Thursday night.
The Central Division-leading Jets (31-14-2) won their fifth in a row in convincing fashion, moving four points ahead of the Predators (28-17-4) with two games in hand.
Lemieux fired his fourth and fifth goals of the year, while Mason Appleton, Bryan Little and Brandon Tanev added singles for the Jets, who led 1-0 and 3-1 at the period breaks.
