Dustin Byfuglien will be on the ballot for the NHL’s Bill Masterton Memorial Trophy for 2015-16.
The Jets defenceman has been nominated for the annual award by the Winnipeg chapter of the Professional Hockey Writers Association.
The Masterton goes to the player who best exemplifies the qualities of perseverance, sportsmanship and dedication to hockey.
Byfuglien, who turned 31 on Sunday, has been an NHL regular since 2007-08. The Roseau, Minn., native was Chicago’s eighth-round pick in 2003.
This season, he has so far recorded 17 goals and 45 points in 74 games.
