Byfuglien, and Jets, happy to have him on the ice tonight against the Leafs

TORONTO — The Winnipeg Jets have placed rookie centre Andrew Copp on the injured reserve list and recalled centre Patrice Cormier from the AHL’s Manitoba Moose.

Copp was injured Saturday night in Columbus, the night he scored his first NHL goal. He didn’t play Sunday against the Montreal Canadiens and missed practice Tuesday.

Cormier has played nine games for the Moose this season, with one goal and two points. He has played 50 NHL games in the Jets/Thrashers organization.

The Jets face the Maple Leafs tonight at Air Canada Centre then move on to Ottawa to play the Senators on Thursday.
