The Boston Bruins announced Wednesday they will play the Winnipeg Jets in their 2015-16 home opener at TD Garden on Thursday, Oct. 8, at 7 p.m. ET.
The rest of the NHL’s 2015-16 schedule will be revealed Thursday. The Jets also are the opponent for the New Jersey Devils’ home opener.
Boston earned a 2-1 overtime win over Winnipeg in the Jets’ only trip to TD Garden last season.
The Bruins will return to action for their preseason opener against the Devils on Sept. 20 at the Dunkin’ Donuts Center in Providence.
