Binnington, Blues stun Jets with 2-1 win to take series lead

The Winnipeg Jets' achilles during the regular season resurfaced Wednesday in their NHL Stanley Cup playoff opener and it cost them bigtime.

The Jets let a one-goal lead evaporate in the third period as the St. Louis Blues rallied for a 2-1 victory in Game 1 of their first-round, NHL playoff series.

David Perron and Tyler Bozak beat goalie Connor Hellebuyck. Bozak's goal came with just 2:05 left in the game, a crushing end for the hosts who had played a defensively sound contest for more than two periods.

Jets had grabbed a 1-0 lead after the opening period on a goal by Patrik Laine.
