The National Hockey League trade deadline is five weeks away and Andrew Ladd, as much as he wants to steer clear of public comments about negotiations on a new deal with the Winnipeg Jets, can’t entirely avoid the issue.
It came up again on Monday after practice when Ladd was asked to comment on a report that contract talks had broken off recently and whether he was frustrated a new deal hadn’t been completed.
"I don’t think anything’s changed really, either way. Nothing’s changed," he said.
