WICHITA, Kan. – Wichita State volleyball head coach Chris Lamb has announced Katie Zimmerman as the program's assistant coach. The former Shocker standout was previously named the Shockers new volunteer assistant coach on May 11.
Zimmerman will replace Chelsea Scott as assistant coach. Scott and associate head coach Sean Carter were hired by Idaho State on June 9.
Zimmerman (then Reilly) starred as a middle blocker at Wichita State from 2012-15, helping the Shockers to three Missouri Valley Conference championships, three NCAA tournament appearances, four 20-win seasons, and a run to the Sweet 16 in 2012.
