WICHITA—The Wichita State men's and women's track and field teams competed in one of the nation's most unique season-opening meets on Friday at the Heskett Center.
Director of Track and Field and Cross Country Steve Rainbolt said he likes how his program's December meet is different.
"I've always considered it a glorified time trial," Rainbolt said. "But this concept of an Intrasquad Meet really makes it fun. The athletes seemed to have embraced it unbelievably. This is the 12th year we've done it in a row.
"The Intrasquad Meet is a part of our program.
