WSU Polishes Off Memphis in Regular Season Finale

WICHITA, Kan. – Wichita State wrapped up the regular season with a 27-29, 25-14, 26-24, 25-12 win over Memphis on Friday afternoon at Charles Koch Arena.

The Shockers finish the season with a 19-10 record, 13-7 in American conference play.

The match included two thrilling sets and two comfortable WSU victories. In the first, the Shockers fought off set point at 25-24 thanks to a kill from Sophia Rohling, and then had two set points of their own via a pair of Natalie Foster kills. But Memphis scored three straight points to salvage the set, getting kills from three different players to snatch a 29-27 win.
